"Someone had bought us a knock off of this otter for my baby shower. I didn't know it was a knock off at the time until it died and I bought this one. WOW what a difference! We use this to get our daughter (4 months) to sleep every night. Once asleep we take it out of her crib and she stays peacefully sleepingThe 30 minutes of music is so helpful. (Our knock off was only 5 so I'd keep having to hit it so she didn't wake up)The chest moving up and down really seems to calm herThe only thing the knock off did that this one doesn't do is breathe while the music plays. "My son only cuddles to sleep and is 1.5 years old he fights his sleep recently and I've needed his dad to come in and help me put him to bed. He's usually doesn't wake in the night but started eventually recently I ordered this late one night out of desperation and he didn't love it at first but I slowly introduced it with naps and he now cuddles with it. No more fighting me and waking up in the night. "was so skeptical - I have preemie BG twins now age 15 months, and my B is so very restless at night, wakes up frequently from night terrors and cries for reassurance. He's in the same room with us in a crib, as well as my G twin in her own crib, so he'd essentially wake the whole house up with his uproars.
